TWI will hold its annual Additive Manufacturing (AM) symposium in Cambridge (UK) on Thursday 29 November. The research and technology organisation has been at the forefront of metal AM technology for over 25 years, working in a diverse range of industry sectors including aerospace, oil and gas, defence and railways.
During the symposium, experts from TWI will give presentations on technologies and application examples such as:
- OAAM – Laser EB Arc and Thermal Spray
- SLM Research and Development
- Modelling and Materials in AM
Examples of Additive Manufacturing from the field will be shared by presenters from GKN Aerospace and the Weir Group. Systems suppliers from Arcam and Renishaw will discuss Electron Beam Melting and SLM Equipment development respectively.
