Intertech partners with its colleagues from Barbour Stockwell (BSI) every year to perform preventive maintenance on its growing base of spin test facilities installed in Europe.
Over the past few weeks, we have serviced six machines all over Europe for customers who are active in the aerospace and oil & gas market sectors. Maintenance activities involve checking the overall condition of the machine while paying particular attention to its safety features. We also calibrate the instrumentation, speed, of course, and other process variables which may be important such as temperature.
Usually we also take the opportunity to perform small upgrades to the machine or implement new features to meet new customer requirements. Depending on the size of the machine and the nature of the work required, maintenance takes two to three days.
